ONA Mizzou is so excited that journalist Ann Friedman is our Spring keynote speaker. She’ll be speaking on campus March 9th. (Keep up with us on social media for more updates.) But who is she? Here’s everything you need to know about journalist/podcaster/pie chart marker/businesswoman Ann Friedman.
She’s a j-school alum.
She graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Journalism, emphasis in Magazine Journalism. Check out a profile of Friedman that the J-School did a few years ago, and read some of her columns for New York Magazine here.
She’s the co-host of Call Your Girlfriend.
Call Your Girlfriend is a podcast for long distance besties everywhere. It’s hosted by Friedman and her best friend, Aminatou Sow, and produced by Gina Delvac. The show dives into pop culture and politics weekly. Check out a few of our favorite episodes here, here and here.
She’s got a killer email newsletter.
